Aisha Bint Jassim Al Darwish Relief And Aid Initiative

EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES, TRANSFORMING LIVES

We are in Sudan to provide relief during the Holy Month of Ramadan through the Aisha Bint Jassim Al Darwish Food Programme. The project, in its first phase, benefits 58 displaced families in Al Jazira State of Sudan.

A humanitarian initiative to support the displaced Palestinian families sheltered in Egypt.

The Aisha Bint Jassim Al Darwish Aid Initiative has implemented a six-month housing renting programme to support seven Palestinian refugee families and one community center in Egypt. Due to their refugee status, these families face significant challenges in securing stable housing. Implemented through Meera Centre and coordinating with Wejdan Diab  (Centre Director), this initiative provided financial assistance for rent to ensure shelter security.

Providing new Eid clothing to Palestinian children in need. In response to the ongoing challenges faced by displaced families, this initiative aims to bring joy and dignity to children by ensuring they can celebrate Eid with new clothes.

Under the esteemed aegis of Aisha Bint Jassim Al Darwish Aid Initiative, in collaboration with Al Balagh Foundation and Jamiat Cotabato, this workshop empowers educators by enhancing their teaching methodologies, pedagogical skills, and understanding educational challenges.

Reflection, and Community Support

Profound talks on faith and guidance by Sheikh Muhammed Abdulfatah Ismail from Al-Azhar University Cairo, Egypt, started on 3 March 2025 in various mosques of Mombasa city and its suburbs.

The Ramadan International Quran Competition was successfully held in Mombasa, Kenya, at Serani Grounds on March 19, 2025. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, attracting men, women, and children from various regions across the country, as well as international participants. The winner of the competition was Fatma Muhammad Mwinyi, a visually impaired contestant from Kisauni, Mombasa County. In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was awarded a Hajj package by the Al Khaldi QASD Foundation. The award was presented by the Governor of Mombasa and a scholar from Egypt, and it was received on her behalf by her teacher.

QASD Foundation Collaborates with Fundación Las Fuentes

Promoting Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Exchange Across the Arab-Muslim World

The Quality and Sustainable Development (QASD) Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spain’s Fundación Las Fuentes to promote sustainable tourism and revive the legacy of Andalusia. Signed by QASD Secretary General Jassim Salem and Fundación Las Fuentes Director Dr. Barbara Ruiz Bejarano at Studio 18, the MoU supports the ‘Knowledge Road Initiative’ and establishes academic, cultural, and research cooperation. Central to the partnership is the Andalusian Medina Network, aimed at valorising Andalusian medinas and supporting regional socio-economic development. The initiative will foster Muslim-friendly and Halal tourism, heritage walks, exhibitions, conferences, and exchange programs across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Morocco.

First International Conference on the Andalusian Legacy – Granada

The Andalusian Legacy from its Establishment to Contemporary Transformations

The conference was organised to delve into the legacy of Al-Andalus while discussing its past and present. It was co-hosted by the Quality and Sustainable Development (QASD) Foundation, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO), the Committee for the Alliance of Civilisations at the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ISESCO Chair for the Alliance of Civilisation at Qatar University, the Journal of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Kuwait University, and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), Jordan. The conference was held on November 6–8, 2024, corresponding to Rabi’ al-Akhir 9–11, 1446.
