Due to their refugee status, these families face significant challenges in securing stable housing. The Ramadan International Quran Competition was successfully held in Mombasa, Kenya, at Serani Grounds on March 19, 2025. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, attracting men, women, and children from various regions across the country, as well as international participants. The winner of the competition was Fatma Muhammad Mwinyi, a visually impaired contestant from Kisauni, Mombasa County. In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was awarded a Hajj package by the Al Khaldi QASD Foundation. The award was presented by the Governor of Mombasa and a scholar from Egypt, and it was received on her behalf by her teacher.
